Adiunkt w Katedrze Rachunkowości na Wydziale Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. Doktor nauk o zarządzaniu. Stypendysta rządu Wielkiej Brytanii w latach 1992-1993. Ukończył studia MSc in Accounting and Finance w University of Stirling.

Trener i konsultant z zakresu rachunkowość menedżerskiej, controllingu, rachunku kosztów i finansów przedsiębiorstw. Szef projektów wdrożeniowych systemów budżetowania i controllingu finansowego. Zajmuje się również tworzeniem biznesplanów i projektów restrukturyzacji.

Nabywał doświadczenie zawodowe jako controller finansowy w Molex Sp. z o.o. Zaprojektował, opracował i wdrożył koncepcje systemów budżetowania i rachunku kosztów, m.in. w PERN „Przyjaźń” SA, Nyborg-Mawent SA.
Prowadzi seminaria m.in.: na studiach MBA Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego, dla kandydatów na biegłych rewidentów w Stowarzyszeniu Księgowych w Polsce, w programie „Diploma in Financial Management” (DipFM) na licencji ACCA oraz dla wielu firm, np. Hewlett-Packard, Altadis, Philips.

Prowadzi seminaria i warsztaty z dziedziny planowania finansowego, budżetowania i controllingu finansowego w projektach i w portfelach projektów. 
Napisał kilkadziesiąt artykułów naukowych i popularno-naukowych, w tym kilka na konferencje w Stanach Zjednoczonych i Kanadzie. Prowadzi seminaria i projekty doradcze w języku angielskim.
Jest prezesem zarządu klubu sportowego Ex-Siedlce Gdańsk. Jest czynnym piłkarzem amatorskim zrzeszonym w PZPN oraz amatorskim maratończykiem. W 2010 roku zdobył odznakę Korony Maratonów Polskich. Biega w różnych miejscach świata. Obecnie próbuje dostać się do któregoś z wielkich maratomów amerykańskich. Uwielbia nieustanny ruch na świeżym powietrzu. Pasjonuje się aktywnym wypoczynkiem, historią i językami obcymi. Włada angielskim, francuskim, niemieckim, hiszpańskim oraz rosyjskim.

Holds titles of MSc in Data Processing (Poland) and PhD in Business Administration (Poland). He was granted a scolarship of the British Government in 1992-1993. He gained MSc in Accounting and Finance at the Stirling University, Scotland, Great Britain.

Consultant in the area of performance management, financial controlling, costing systems, cost and management accounting. Project manager in various implementation projects concerning budgetary control systems, costing systems, businessplans and restucturing plans. He worked as project manager for PERN „Przyjaźń” SA, Nyborg-Mawent SA and many other companies. In the course of his career ha learnt to respond to clients’ needs by linking excellent experience with modern theory in the fields of his interests.

Trainer at the following curricula: MBA at the University of Gdańsk, the ACCA-licended Diploma in Financial Management (DipFM), workshops for Philips, Hewlett-Packard, Altadis, TP SA, UE-financed post-graduate programmes, in-company taylored curricula and many other.
Worked for Molex Sp. z o.o. (US-seated Molex Incorporated) as financial controller in his early career.

Keen on sports. He used to practice table tennis in his youth. Now he is registerd in the Polish Football Association as an amateur football player. Chief of the Board in the Ex Siedlce Sport Club in Gdańsk that manages a league team. He is also active amatuer marathon runner who gained the title of the Crown of Polish Marathons in 2010. Jarek takes parts in marathons worldwide and now is extremely focused to enlist to one of the biggest US marathons.
Interested in history. Gifted and skilled in foreign languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Russian).
